Seeing a lot of applications for searching a place to stay for the night such as hotels and
homestays, I'm challenged to
create an application design that is simple, minimalist but still informative by displaying
the information
needed directly on the first page when the user sees the search list. Therefore,
users can match the hotel or homestay they are looking for with their own tastes. Taking an example
from PalemKost,
this pages is inspired by palm tree leaves which have a calm and relaxing atmosphere.
So I chose green for the color of this page and also provided a image of a palm leaf
as background. In the concept, the image for the background can match the name or theme of the
the place. So by just looking at the application, users can feel the vibe of the hotel or homestay.
Melihat banyaknya aplikasi-aplikasi pencari penginapan seperti hotel dan juga homestay, saya
tertantang untuk
membuat sebuah design aplikasi yang simpel, minimalis tetapi tetap informatif dengan menampilkan
informasi-informasi yang
dibutuhkan langsung di halaman pertama pada saat pengguna melihat daftar pencarian. Dengan begitu,
pengguna dapat mencocokan hotel atau homestay yang dicari dengan seleranya masing-masing. Mengambil
contoh dari PalemKost, tampilan
halaman aplikasi ini terinspirasi oleh daun pohon palem yang jika dirasakan memiliki suasana yang
tenang dan santai.
Maka itu saya memilih warna hijau untuk warna halaman ini dan juga memberikan gambar daun palem
sebagai latar belakang. Pada konsepnya, gambar untuk latar belakang dapat menyesuaikan dengan nama
atau juga tema dari
tempat penginapan tersebut. Jadi dengan hanya melihat dari aplikasi, pengguna dapat merasakan vibe
dari
hotel atau homestay tersebut.
